Goodreads Summary:

Her first thought: "Who are you?"
It's the morning after her cousin's bachelorette party in Vegas and Megan Scott wakes up with the mother of all hangovers. Even worse, she's in a stranger's penthouse having woken up with something else as well - a funny, arrogant, sexy...husband!

Up until now, finding even a boyfriend had seemed impossible - been there, got the broken heart, sworn off men for good. Then a few martinis with Carter...no, Connor Reed and she's gone from first meet to marriage in one night!

Megan wants a lawyer. But Connor's shocking bombshell?

"I don't want a divorce."

My Thoughts:

After figuring life was not heading in the direction she hoped, Megan Scott decides to take matters into her own hands. She wants to have a child and figures she does not need a husband to get one. On a weekend trip to Las Vegas for her cousin’s wedding, Megan gets drunk to the point of not remembering much—including getting married to Connor Reed.

Connor has just gotten out a relationship and has headed off to Vegas to blow off steam with his friend. Imagine his surprise when Megan comes up to him in a bar pleading with him to help her make a break from the other bridesmaids who are determined to set her up. Imagine his surprise even more when he realizes he actually likes Megan and feels that undeniable spark with her.

What comes about is an often times funny courtship of Connor and Megan getting to know each other—even though they are already married. Told partially in flashbacks highlighting the faithful night, we get to know Connor and Megan and learn how they have come to the point where they are at in their lives. The writing flows even with the flashbacks intermixed into the first half of the book. This is a quick read with some deeper moments that might give you pause to think about how you came to be in the relationship you are in currently or where you have been. Overall, I would recommend this quick read as an enjoyable interlude.

Happy Reading!
